When we lose someone we love, it’s natural to want to hold onto their memory and keep them close to our hearts. Memorial cards provide a tangible way to do just that. These cards serve as a physical reminder of the person we have lost, allowing us to reflect on their life and remember the impact they had on us.

Memorial cards hold a special place in our hearts because they are a personal and intimate keepsake. They can be kept in a special place, such as a memory box or a cherished photo album, on a mantlepiece or in a wallet or purse. They can be revisited whenever we need to feel a connection to our loved ones. These cards become a source of comfort and healing, allowing us to grieve in our own way and keep the memory of our loved ones alive.

HOW THE ORDER PROCESS WORKS

Here are some ideas to add that personal touch to a memorial card:

Choose Meaningful Photographs or Imagery:
Select photographs that capture the essence of your loved one. These can be candid shots, portraits, or images that represent their passions and interests. The photographs you choose should evoke fond memories and celebrate their life. Or if you prefer, choose a special image which they loved, like a favourite holiday destination or which represents something they loved to do eg. fishing, hiking, skiing etc.

Include Heartfelt Messages:
Write a personal message or tribute that conveys your love and admiration for your loved one. Share stories, memories, or qualities that made them special. These messages can be heartfelt, funny, or even poetic, depending on the tone you want to set.

Incorporate Memorial Prayers, Verses, Poetry or Quotes:
If your loved one had a favorite verse, poem or quote, consider including it on the memorial card. These types of things can add depth and meaning to the card, and serve as a reminder of the values and beliefs your loved one held dear.

Use Symbols and Artwork:
Symbols and artwork can help capture the essence of your loved one’s life and passions. For example, being religious, you could choose an image of their favorite Saint. Or if they were a nature lover, you could include a small illustration of a tree or a flower. These symbols serve as visual representations of their personality and interests. The choice is yours to decide.
